The Violinist from the Cigany Theater at Oz ia an original painting that inspired products from my Oz studio including journals, mugs, totes and art gifts. My work blends storytelling, intuitive color, animal symbolism and mystical themes into everyday art.  Warm, intimate, and quietly whimsical — this glossy black ceramic mug carries a painterly scene of a young violinist beneath a striped umbrella. The artwork’s soft brushstrokes and gentle blue-and-cream palette invite slow mornings, rainy-day listening sessions, and moments of creative pause. Hold it in both hands and feel a little concert of calm: the violinist’s steady focus, the umbrella’s sheltered comfort, and an overall sense of artistry that suits a thoughtful ritual of coffee, tea, or cocoa. This mug blends studio-style illustration with everyday use. The black gloss frames the image like a gallery window, making the colors stand out while keeping the piece feeling lived-in and personal. It’s for people who collect small moments — musicians, art lovers, and anyone who enjoys beverages that accompany reflection, practice, or quiet reading. Use it during rainy afternoons, before a practice session, or when you want your drink to feel a little more like a pause. Product features - 100% glossy ceramic with vibrant, crisp print - Available in 11oz and 15oz sizes - Microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe for everyday convenience - C-shaped easy-grip handle; lead- and BPA-free - Made to meet lead and cadmium safety requirements Care instructions - Clean in dishwasher (put the product on top rack), or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap

Character Note from the Cigány Theater at Oz

In the Cigány Theater at Oz, every traveler arrives carrying more than a costume or instrument. They bring stories, symbols, and fragments of old knowledge gathered along the road. Some performers entertain, some guard secrets, and some carry the quiet wisdom that guides the troupe from one world to the next.

Lola the Violinist

Lola plays as if the air itself remembers.

When the lanterns are lit and the crowd settles into quiet expectation, her violin begins to speak in a language older than the road. Her melodies drift through the traveling theater like warm lantern light, summoning tenderness, nostalgia, and the soft ache of distant places.

Among the performers Lola is the quiet heart of the troupe. In moments between performances, when the wagons are still and the night stretches wide above the camp, she plays for the horses, the travelers, and the listening dark.

Some say Lola learned her music from wandering musicians long ago. Others believe the songs simply arrive through her — carried on the wind from forgotten worlds.

Whatever the truth, when Lola plays, the Cigány Theater remembers where it has been… and where the road might lead next.

Thank you for supporting original artwork and the living world of Oz.
